Audience Feedback
I have asked 5 people from outside of college for their opinion about our thriller film opening title sequence. These were their responses;

Alice - ‘The sequence was good it, the music fitted in well with what was going on in the scene. I like the fact that it was in black and in white which made it spookier’

Cara - ‘I really enjoyed it and it made me want to watch the rest. I loved the TV noises made between each shot as they made me jump; it really is a great thriller film opening and I like it more as it is unique and I never seen anything like that before’

Sarah - ‘Out of all the opening the thing I like the most is the fact that it doesn’t have any dialogue which makes it harder to understand and it made me want to watch to the end of it to see how it will end. I really liked the effect when they are in the subway and she follows their path that was really interesting. Also the actions that one of the girls carries out matches with the music played in the background that was really interesting too’

Matthew - ‘I really like this thriller film and the fact that they were both wearing the same jacket was really spooky and it emphasised the fact that they were twins and towards the end I understood why you did it as they were inseparable’

Robert - ‘I got really scared when I watched it, all the scratchy noises and the soundtracks used made my heart beat faster and faster and the last demonic attack with the scratchy noise scared the living crap out of me it’s a brilliant thriller’

audience feedback

Irfaah: ‘The music was jumpy and scratchy which gave me a heart attack, it was good because it captivates the audience early and makes me want to watch more (except for the scratchy bit). I liked the versatility in the music as it wasn’t the same consistent music. I would improve by taking out the scratchy bit as it was too scary for my heart to handle.

Paris: ‘I liked it but I thought the jumps were too scary for an opening. I really want to watch the rest now. ‘

Chloe: ‘It was very interesting and made me watch to watch more. I liked the ending with the white noise where the girl is shaking her hair as it is very scary. I like how in some scenes it is very calm and in others the mood suddenly changes, although I did get a bit confused in some places. ‘

Ceri: ‘I think that the sequence is good. The music fits well with the scenes and make the film more thrilling. From watching the sequence i would like to watch the rest of the film.’

Becky: ‘I thought that the opening sequence was good. I liked the music because it was creepy and fitted with the theme. I was a little confused (i thought one of the girls was dead?!), but towards the end of it I understood what was happening. I thought the noises between the different cuts made it seem scary and unnerving. Overall the opening sequence makes me look forward to watching the rest of the film.‘
