Soundtrack Research

Here are some famous movie soundtracks from different thriller films. We looked at them to get get an idea on what type of soundtrack we want to use in our title sequence of a thriller film.

Looking at different soundtracks of famous thriller films we noticed that they weren't a good fit to our type of thriller, since we were looking at a horror-thriller rather than the ones shown.
Then we looked at the Shutter Island soundtrack and found the subtle build up and not so much focus on a melody was more creepy.

Looking at the thriller horror genre, we looked at the soundtrack to the opening of "Donnie Darko" (2001). We were captured by the build up and the use of bass to create a sense of fear. The genre was obviously established by the sound and you are encouraged to watch the rest of the Film. The opening didn't make much sense but it left an enigma and the music ended and faded as did the picture.
